Hemp CBD Extract (Full Spectrum), 250mg
Full spectrum hemp CBD extract utilizing the “entourage effect” to support the endocannabinoid system.*
Our Hemp CBD Extract (Full Spectrum) oil supplements are made of naturally sourced ingredients. Every ingredient is tested by independent third party laboratories for potency and contaminants including pesticides, residual solvents, toxic heavy metals, microbes and more. We use the highest standard of hemp available and ensure fragile phytocompounds are preserved so you can get the full benefits of the hemp plant. Using CBD oil sublingually is a highly effective way to absorb the ingredients so you can get relief faster.
Full Spectrum Hemp CBD Extract Oil for Superior Relief
Botany’s lab tested full spectrum hemp CBD extract oil is a complete extract of hemp. It is the essence of the hemp flower, containing hundreds of important phytocompounds only found in hemp including high levels of Cannabidiol (CBD) along with a “full spectrum” of other cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, aldehydes and more that work in synergy to create an “entourage effect”. Our full spectrum hemp oil allows you to safely enjoy the full therapeutic benefits of hemp, without the risks of smoking or vaping. Scientists have abundant evidence to suggest that hemp phytocompounds support a healthy endocannabinoid system with associated benefits such as: stress support, soothing minor discomforts, inhibiting inflammation, and modulating sleep. Our best-selling full spectrum hemp oil contains:
CBD is a component of hemp but it does not produce psychoactive effects. While CBD and THC both act on the endocannabinoid system and bind to the CB2 receptor, they interact with the CB1 receptors in different ways. Research shows that CBD does not bond directly with the CB1 receptor, and its presence can even negate the bond between THC and the CB1 receptors, effectively neutralizing the psychoactive effects induced by THC.
Scientific research suggests CBD supports a healthy endocannabinoid system and is a safe anti-inflammatory that may be useful in chronic pain, supporting a positive mood, stress tolerance, restful sleep, digestion, and more.
Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) (<0.3%)
THC, much like it’s non-psychoactive cousin CBD, occurs naturally in hemp albeit at much lower levels than marijuana. Scientific studies suggest that the combination of both THC and CBD is more therapeutically effective in balancing the endocannabinoid system than each by itself.1 The federal 2018 Farm Bill permits commercial hemp products to contain natural non-psychoactive levels of THC, up to 0.3% THC. These small amounts don’t cause the intoxicating effects of recreational marijuana, but they do activate the endocannabinoid receptors enough to provide noticeable relief for some issues. Studies suggest THC may also help with appetite, sleep and discomfort management.3–5
BCP is a terpene found in some plants including hemp, clove and pepper. It directly stimulates the CB2 endocannabinoid receptor, which gives our full spectrum oil a subjectively “stronger” effect than plain CBD isolate. Scientific papers describe BCP’s anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, antioxidant and anesthetic activity.6
This “energizing” cannabinoid activates the α2-adrenergic receptor, which adrenaline targets, and it gives stamina and mood support. It boosts circulating endocannabinoid levels in the body by inhibiting anandamide uptake.6
CBC also supports healthy endocannabinoid levels by interfering with anandamide uptake.5 It strongly activates the TRPA1 receptor and scientists suspect it may have anti-inflammatory properties and pain relief potential.7
The cannaflavin family of flavonoids is found only in cannabis. While not as well studied as cannabinoids and terpenes, scientific evidence suggests they make a meaningful contribution to the therapeutic effects of hemp. For example, Cannaflavin-A was found to inhibit PGE-2, a prostaglandin responsible for inflammation and targeted by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like aspirin. The study showed that Cannaflavin-A reduces inflammation and is 1000x more potent than aspirin in its inhibition of PGE-2. Researchers are still studying how the presence of more common flavonoids in hemp like β-sitosterol, vitexin, isovitexin, apigenin, kaempferol, quercetin, luteolin, and orientin work in conjunction with – or in resistance to – hemp cannabinoids and terpenes.
These “minor” compounds each stimulate different parts of the endocannabinoid system and related systems, which combine to create a “major” difference in felt potency and relief. This synergy is known as the “entourage effect”. Many of these minor compounds can be damaged by harsh extraction techniques, such as distillation. Our extraction techniques are designed to preserve these fragile molecules, allowing us to offer you the true essence of hemp, as it is found in nature.
Our lab tested full spectrum hemp CBD extract oil is made from fragrant, sparkling hemp flowers grown on pesticide-free farms in the USA. The flowers are dried, finely ground and extracted with food-grade ethanol and proprietary equipment. The thick extract is flash heated to just over 230°F to convert (”decarboxylate”) the raw CBDa & THCa into the fully-activated versions. Finally, the oil is gently warmed under a fume hood to evaporate any excess ethanol. Temperature and pressure are finely controlled to prevent the denaturing of important compounds with therapeutic value.
A recent batch of our undiluted hemp extract contained, by weight, according to lab results:
- CBD – 68.7%
- THC – 2.4%
- CBC – 8.0%
- CBG – 2.2%
- BCP – 1.1%
It also has significant levels of the medicinal terpenes: linalool, humulene & eucalyptol.
Botany infuses the activated, full spectrum hemp extract into organic MCT oil made from coconuts in 1oz (30mL) glass bottles. Our Commitment to Quality Control & Transparency
Not all CBD is created equal! CBD oil made with inferior extraction and processing techniques can become denatured and less bioactive. It can also get contaminated with toxic chemical solvents & reagents, heavy metals, pesticides, mold and pathogenic microbes. We won’t personally take anything unless we know it’s pure, nor will our conscience allow us to sell it. That’s why, the moment a new batch arrives at our labeling and distribution facility, the full spectrum CBD extract oil is quarantined. It’s set aside until it passes a rigorous panel of safety tests performed by highly respected, third party analytical labs. We provide lab reports for each batch of raw material and every lot of finished products. That way, you can rest assured that the oil in your bottle is safe and free of contaminants!
